Welcome to the Crazy Dad Life!
Ok, what the hell does that mean?
Well, if you are like me, you are probably a busy parent trying to survive the daily insanity. But, that’s not all you want. You also want to build a business, get more engaged online, or simply learn some new skills that will make you more marketable in today’s hyper-competitive job market.
The fact you are on this page separates you from 90% of other people
You are ready to take action.
So, What Exactly Am I Supposed to Do Here?
I created this page to help you understand what exactly to do now that you’ve landed on this little part of the internet. Many times when you land on a website, you really don’t know what you are supposed to do and why you might want to come back.
These quick steps will provide the most value to you and allow you to get back to the kids calling for you and other things on your Honey-Do list.
1. Grab Your Free Tools
First and foremost, you have to get some tools. If you are going to have any chance of success you need to leverage the same tools used by other people killing it online.
I provide a FREE resource guide to members of the CDL community so you can gain traction in your typically crazy lives. You will end up using these every day during your online journey.
These are must haves. I personally use them everyday and can vouch for their utility. The best part? The tools are FREE! Pick up your copy of the resource guide by clicking on the book to the left or by signing up in the sidebar to the right.
As a bonus, I’m also throwing in the How to Generate Ideas for Your Blog Without Spending Hours Online and The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Dads…in Life and Business.
2. Check out the Crazy Dad Life Podcast
This is a great option if you don’t like to read a lot or if you want something to do while away from the screen. That is the beautiful thing about podcasts. You can listen to them while you mow the grass, while you are at the gym, or while you waste a portion of your life commuting to work. Don’t worry, most of us are withering away in our cars just like you.
Give the podcast a try and see if you like it. Even if you don’t like my podcast, I highly recommend you check out podcasts as a way to turn downtime into learning opportunities. As busy parents, we need to optimize all areas of our lives and this is a great chance to turn waste into gain.
On a weekly basis I cover two major topics in roughly 30 mins
- The 5TIL – I share 5 Things I Learned (5TIL) from the previous week to hopefully help you with your online journey. I wanted to do this because I wish I would have had this when I first started. Just getting a quick snapshot of industry happenings would have benefited me in the beginning. The topics cover everything from tactical tools to industry trends to ridiculous stories in the news.
- This Week’s Content – In this segment I basically share my journey with you. I talk about the things that worked for me and the things that I’ve abandoned. If I solve a problem with my online platform, I share it with you so you don’t have to go through the same head-scratching, mind-numbing frustration.
Check out the podcast on iTunes or Stitcher.
Oh, and if you REALLY like the podcast, please subscribe and leave a review. That would immediately elevate your level of awesomeness. You see, reviews are the way that iTunes boosts the popularity of podcasts. The more reviews, the more boost you get. You can provide a review here.

I share my experiences to make your journey just a little bit easier. You’ll hear methods and best practices alongside stories of parenthood. Being a parent entrepreneur, you have to remain diligent in how you approach life and business.
4. Engage and Share
I love to collaborate with you. I’ve gained so much insight and knowledge from others online that I wouldn’t be where I am today without people just like you. The mere fact you are on this page means you are legitimately pursuing your passions. I love that!
I feed off the true social interaction that is provided by the online community. I’m always looking to work with others and to share amongst us the pitfalls and the proud moments. It is a journey and having friends along for the ride is priceless.
You can engage by commenting on the blog posts, leaving reviews at the podcast, and reaching out to me on social media.

This is a journey. You won’t get everything done in a day or a weekend. It takes time. You’ll hear plenty of stories of all these people killing it online, but you won’t hear about the sweat it took to get there. Join me on this journey and let’s move forward together. Check back often as I continue to post new content.
8. Complete Your First Homework Assignment
Ok, you have to do one thing before you leave. Head over to my Contact page and answer these three questions:
- What are you currently doing online that you are proud of?
- What do you WANT to do online?
- What is holding you back?
That’s it! Once again, welcome to the community and I look forward to engaging with you as we move forward building online in our off hours!
