This Week’s Episode
Typically, when I post a new podcast episode I provide enough content that it could be considered a blog post. This week I did it a little different.
Earlier today I posted a new blog post called 10 Ways I Suck at Being an Entrepreneur. In this week’s podcast I expand on that content as well as cover the 5TIL and other announcements for the show.

Hey Jeff,
This is a great episode. Pretty much what I expect EVERY time you put out an episode. You delved into the things that drive so many of us crazy. And you did it with an honesty and openness that really drove the point home!
So here’s my take on it, where I’m talking to both of us (and to anybody else reading this):
EMBRACE THE SUCK
We’re going to suck. We’re going to struggle. It’s the journey that is the reward, and the fact that we’re questioning where we’re heading and why we’re no good at it is the key to why we’re going to end up ahead of the pack.
And I’ve got even more advice…you’re the “Startup Guy”. You know how to get somebody started in blogging, podcasting, social media, writing an ebook in a weekend, whatever. You know enough of everything to get somebody started. That’s vastly more valuable than a “deep dive” into a narrow area.
There are far more people who need to get started than those who need specific, narrow advice in a single area.
This is a journey for all of us, and you’re an excellent guide to get folks started. That’s a vital part of the bigger picture.
Keep the faith, you’re headed in the right direction…wherever that may be taking you!

You rock Jeff! Love the “embrace the suck” part. lol. You are so right with your analysis (as usual). It IS a journey and there will be ups and downs for all of us. It’s a matter of keeping the faith, driving forward, and tossing caution and doubt to the side. I do love getting folks to try new things and to see their growth. As long as I have people like you along for the ride, I’m good with wherever it takes me!
