People ask me all the time how I balance family, career, and my online platform. They ask what a typical day is like for the parent entrepreneur.
In this episode, I give a glimpse into the “typical” day for a parent entrepreneur. I walk you through the day from hitting your alarm clock to setting it for the next day. Along the way, I identify moments where you can inject energy and attention to your side business.
It’s hard for parents like you to handle all of the responsibilities of family and work while also trying to build something online. A side business is hard work and it’s completely understandable to struggle with everything at once.
Take a look at your day and see where you can build margin to build that side business. See where you can fit a few minutes here and there. You’ll be surprised how all of that time ultimately comes together and you start to see momentum in realizing your vision of success.
Also, this week’s 5 Things I Learned (5TIL) covers:
- Crazy mom bloggers (literally)
- Amazon’s new entry into the smartphone market
- What the NBA might be doing with their logo
- Libraries fighting back the hands of time
- The demise of the Computerworld magazine

I is important for us bloggers to balance our time so we are there for our family. Sometimes we take on too much and things suffer.

Completely agree! It’s tough to balance and usually ends up with us staying up to the wee hours of the night working on the blog/side biz. Are there things you try to do to minimize that conflict?
