In this week’s episode, I talk about changing the way you think. Shift your mindset and you’ll be amazed at what may happen. I truly believe, as entrepreneurs, we need to explore everything we come into contact with, at a deeper level. Don’t let information simply pass you by. Reach in and examine the conceptual parts and see if you can conjure up the next big thing.
I give you 8 proven strategies for how to shift your mindset so you can start to think of new products, services, or opportunities in your life.
- Observe EVERYTHING
- Extract the main content
- Think about the basic function
- Apply it in a different context
- Determine if YOU would use it
- Keep a completely open mind
- Write it down ASAP
- Revisit later to determine if it’s still a brilliant idea (sometimes they suck!)
In addition, this week’s 5 Things I Learned (5TIL) covers the following topics:
- The CoSchedule tool for managing your social media and other online tasks
- Some of the key Apple iOS 8 features
- The Lookout app that takes pictures and records locations of all those thieves taking iPhones
- Pocket sized molecular sensors…that sounds cool, right?
- The World Cup and options for apps and watching all the games
